Aligned with the Healing Jajarkot Scheme, Swostishree Gurukul IB World School in Lalitpur inaugurated a Painting Exhibition on December 23 at De Machaan Restaurant.
The first day of the art exhibition witnessed an outpouring of enthusiasm from participating artists who expressed immense joy in utilizing their creative talents to contribute to the support of earthquake-affected victims. The event, organized in collaboration with the Healing Jajarkot Scheme, showcased the commitment of the school to social responsibility, a sentiment echoed by the appreciative artists.
Proceeds generated from the sale of artworks featured in the exhibition will be dedicated to supporting and providing relief to those affected by the Jajarkot earthquake. Swostishree Gurukul IB World School has taken proactive measures by initiating voluntary contributions and assistance from its students, parents, teachers, and staff. In the immediate aftermath of the earthquake, the school swiftly responded by distributing clothing, stationary, and food items to the affected regions of Jajarkot and Rukum.
The artworks will be on display at De Machaan Restaurant for a week, as conveyed by Neha KC, the school's principal. She highlighted that the school's commitment to Jajarkot earthquake relief began on December 24 with the invitation extended to the top 10 leading visual artists in the country. These artists were invited to the school premises to collaborate and organize the art event, further reinforcing the school's dedication to supporting the affected communities.
