Ten students from Softwarica College of IT and E-commerce, a college located in Kathmandu offering IT courses in collaboration with Coventry University, have arrived in the UK for an observation visit.
Students will visit Coventry University to attend various university lecture classes and participate in workshops, said Mr. Bigyan Shrestha, Chairman of the college. According to the Shrestha, the students will also visit major tourist attractions in the UK, including the London Eye Tower Bridge, and the London Museum.
Mr. Amrit Thapa, Business Development Director of the college mentioned that the college has provided travel and accommodation expenses to the students.
Mr. Pramod Poudel, Campus Chief of the college, stated that students who represent the college in various programs, are curious and have excellent presentation skills, and have mutual skills, and at least 90 percent attendance in each module and diligent students were selected. “Such visits will be organized every year in the coming days as well”, Thapa added. Students participating in the visits will get international standard education as well as international exposure
The team left for the UK on June 19, 2022, and will return to Nepal on June 29. Batch 26 and 27 of the college participated in this visit and students of batches 28, 29 and 30 are also preparing to visit. Mr. Amrit Thapa, Business Development Director, Mr. Manoj Kumar Shrestha, Finance Director Mr. Pramod Poudel, Campus Chief, and Mr. Achyut Timsina, Head of Academic Operations participated in the visit on behalf of the College.
