The "Capture the Flag Bootcamp 2023" organized by Softwarica College of IT and E-Commerce, in partnership with Hack the Box, successfully concluded on June 23. This workshop, held within the college premises, aimed to provide students with a unique opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills in the realm of cybersecurity.
Capture the Flag (CTF) is an enthralling cybersecurity contest in which participants exploit vulnerabilities and overcome challenges to acquire "flags." These flags represent hidden information strategically placed within servers and computer systems. Engaging in this competition provides students with a chance to experience real-world cybersecurity scenarios, nurturing their skills and cultivating a mindset that encompasses both hacking and defending.
The event acted as a crucial milestone in the journey toward becoming a graduate prepared for the industry. Softwarica College is committed to equipping students with practical experience and exposure to the industry, enabling them to become highly sought-after professionals. It presented a valuable chance to enhance cybersecurity expertise and establish enduring connections within the field.
Distinguished guest speakers and mentors from Hack the Box, Mr. Shishir Subedi, Mr. Nirmal Thapa, Mr. Santosh Bhandari, and Mr. Samip Pokharel graced the event.
