Siraha schools resume classes after six months

Community and private schools in Siraha district resumed their classes from today by meeting a certain health protocol.

Community and private schools in local level at Mirchaiya, Golbazaar and Laxmipur have been brought into operation by fulfilling all necessary health security criteria. 

The schools closed from March 24 due to lockdown imposed by the government to contain the spread of the virus resumed their classes from Sunday as per the decision of the local levels.

Resource person of Mirchaiya Municipality Education Section, Shyam Kumar Yadav, said that the schools at the municipality area have started teaching learning activities as per the directive of the local level to resume classes by adopting health alertness and maintaining social distance in the schools.

According to schools, they have resumed classes regularly in two shifts even if the number of students is less as the schools started classes after an interval of almost six months.

Use of facemasks and social distance for the students is made mandatory in school.

Meanwhile, police have arrested a person on charge of pelting stones at police personnel here.

Sanjeev Kumar Yadav of Nabarajpur Rural Municipality-4 was arrested on charge of pelting stones at police personnel when they were trying to disperse crowds during a prohibitory order, according to the District Police Office, Siraha.
Further investigation into the case was underway by arresting Yadav at Area Police Office, Laxmipur Patari.
