Seventh General Assembly of Nepalese Society for Microbiology (NESOM) held today at TU auditorium Hall, Kiritpur, Kathmandu.
More than 250 Microbiologist participated in this event. Welcoming the participant, vice president of NESOM, Shova Shrestha highlighted the roles of NESOM and its activities.
Speaking in the assembly Prof. Dr. Megha Raj Banjara who is also a head of subject committee head of Microbiology highlights the challenges faced by M.Sc graduates of Medical specialization and also briefed the members about progress/activities about NHPC license for Medical Microbiologist, incorporation of Microbiology subject in +2 level among others. Former president of NESOM Mr. Pradeep Kumar Shah, President of NESOM Prof. Dr. Rajani Malla also expressed their views on the roles of Microbiologist and how they can contribute to build a better Nepal.
In the event NESOM also felicitated more than 20 Microbiology graduates who have provided outstanding contribution in the field of Microbiology or other areas after having graduation in Microbiology.
