Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that no talent will have to be ignored due to political discrimination or financial reasons in the country. In a message today on the occasion of National Science Day-2076, Prime Minister Oli has said that the government has adopted the universal norm of building a society based on knowledge and scientific thought with the mission of realizing the national aspiration of 'prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis.'
The government will be increasing investment in the science and technology sector with a priority to preserving scientific, technical, intellectual and special talents, he has said in the message adding, "Science and technology should be linked with the happiness of human life".
He has also said that the role of science and technology was inevitable in speeding up development works to take the country to the level of a prosperous nation by 2100. "The government is determined to build the foundation for socio-economic transformation of the country with technology and innovation through sustained and continued investment in the science and technology sector."
The Prime Minister has also expressed the confidence that the Day would inspire us all to achieve economic prosperity through the development of science and technology.
