Kathmandu Metropolis is gearing up to open schools physically from next week. The move comes amid the government's new directives on smart lockdown, 2078, which states that the schools inside Kathmandu valley can now function with the physical presence of students and teachers after coordinate with district-level COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC).
District Administration Office (DAO), yesterday issued a notice stating that the schools can operate physically as per the new smart lockdown proceedings, 2078 only after the coordination with the CCMC. DAO had otherwise directed schools to remain closed and directed them to not function physically.
