Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD) has been providing grants to schools to establish and operate information technology labs as part of an effort to incorporate technology into education. This initiative has been in place since the School Sector Reform program and has been continued under President's Educational Reform Program.

To ensure the reliability of the software and digital materials used in schools, the center has published a specification outlining the features required in the Learning Management System (LMS) used in schools. This specification serves to regulate the use of technology in classrooms and guarantee the quality of digital resources available to all schools.

Schools are required to submit information about their LMS system and digital content to the bureau for archiving within 15 days of the announcement. By encouraging the use of technology in classrooms, the center hopes to provide Nepali students with better access to educational opportunities and resources.

Education experts and other stakeholders have expressed their support for the initiative, as they believe it will increase student engagement and interest. They hope that the project will encourage the development of innovative teaching methods and an overall improvement in Nepal's educational system.
