Under the 'Nepal-India Development Cooperation,' the construction of Sharada Secondary School's school and hostel buildings in Rawa Besi Rural Municipality, Khotang, has been completed at a cost of Rs. 3 crore 61 lakhs.

On Chaitra 23, 2080, the inauguration was jointly performed by the District Coordination Committee Chairman San Bahadur Rai, Rawa Besi Rural Municipality Chairman Phatik Kumar Shrestha, and the First Secretary of the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, Suman Sekhar.

The provision of necessary furniture for the school and hostel buildings has also been made by the Indian government, as announced in a notice issued by the embassy. The construction project of the school and hostel buildings has been implemented in coordination with the District Coordination Committee, Khotang.

Established in 1952, Sharada Secondary School provides education from grade one to 'plus two.' Currently, among the 365 students enrolled, 50% are female. Since 2003, with the operation of more than 450 community development projects in various regions of Nepal, as informed by the embassies, about 488 projects have been completed. Presently, 85 projects are being carried out with funding support from the Indian government in various sectors of Koshi Province.

The event was attended by representatives from the public, government officials, social workers, representatives of school management committees, teachers, parents, and students.
