Scholarships for vanishing castes

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) has announced scholarships for technical education to the men and women belonging to Dalit, disadvantaged Muslims and vanishing caste groups of 10 Terai district this year.

Scholarships will be offered to the men and women of underprivileged Muslims and vanishing caste groups of Terai districts including Bara, Parsa, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Siraha, Saptari, Banke and Kapilvastu districts, informed Exam Controller of the CTEVT, Ramesh Bakhati.

The scholarship includes the technical subjects of nursing, health assistant, pharmacy, lab technician under which applicants should pass the entrance exam. Those having passed SLC could apply for the scholarship.

The scholarship recipient will get monthly Rs. 3,500 for tuition fee, Rs. 4,000 for clothes every year; food and living accommodation and travel costs two times a year, Bakhati informed.
