Scholarship Notice for Class 11 Students in Kathmandu Metropolitan

On July 07, the National Examination Board released the outcomes of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) for 10th grade. In order to offer scholarships to students intending to pursue their studies in 11th grade after successfully passing the exam, a notice has been issued. This notice specifically targets students who have attended public schools within Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), as well as those from disadvantaged areas, tribal communities, and economically underprivileged backgrounds who wish to enroll in private schools.

In accordance with the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Education Act, 2075, and the Education Regulations, 2074, the Kathmandu Metropolitan City has scheduled the student selection examination for scholarships awarded by private schools within the city. This examination is specifically for students entering class 11 in the academic session 2080/81.

To facilitate this process, educational institutions within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City that admit students in class 11 are requested to provide the number of enrolled students for the academic session 2079-80 by the year's end. To do so, please visit the link here. Kindly complete the form with the required information.

Furthermore, in previous instances, educational institutions have been observed to release last-minute notices regarding admissions for class 11, resulting in different admission schedules. This situation has raised concerns, as it has been brought to the attention of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City that students traveling from remote regions of the country to Kathmandu for admissions are being deprived of the opportunity to apply.

All educational institutions are hereby notified to arrange the admission process for class 11 or its equivalent level in a manner that allows students to apply within a minimum of 15 days from the date of publication of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results.
