Prof. Dr. Bed Raj KC has been appointed as the 7th Vice-Chancellor of Pokhara University by Prime Minister and Chancellor KP Sharma Oli. The decision follows a recommendation from the selection committee, which shortlisted candidates for the position after rigorous evaluation.
Prof. Dr. KC, a distinguished academic with decades of experience in education and leadership, is a professor of Physics at Tribhuvan University. In addition to his academic contributions, he serves as the president of the Nepal Progressive Professors Association and is an active member of the Nepali Congress. Prof. Dr. KC was chosen from among 12 aspirants, reflecting his strong credentials and leadership potential.
The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor succeeds Prof. Prem Narayan Aryal, who previously held the position. Prof. Dr. KC’s appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter for Pokhara University, with expectations that his leadership will drive the institution toward greater academic and institutional achievements.
