The Curriculum Development Center has opened its doors for proposals from private printing presses for the printing responsibility of textbooks ranging from class 1 to class 4. This decision marks a significant shift in the approach towards textbook production, empowering private entities to contribute to the education sector.
The interested printing presses are required to submit their applications within a 15-day window, highlighting their capabilities and commitment to quality education materials. The call for proposals extends beyond mere textbook printing, as it also seeks proposals for the renewal and listing of printers and distributors interested in participating in the printing and distribution process.
Under the directives of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, the academic session of 2081 is set to witness a collaborative effort between private sector printers and distributors for the printing and distribution of textbooks. This decision aligns with the guidelines outlined in the Curriculum and Educational Material Development and Distribution Guidelines, 2079.
Private entities, particularly those approved for the academic session of 2080, are urged to apply for renewal and additional listing. The application process requires the submission of profiles in a specified format from the center.
Noteworthy is the decision to allow private printing presses to handle the printing of textbooks for classes 1 to 4 at the school level, while the center will take charge of printing educational materials for classes 5 to 12. This strategic division of responsibilities aims to streamline the production and distribution process, ensuring efficiency and quality.
Interested printing presses are not only invited to contribute to the printing of textbooks but also encouraged to apply for the printing of various educational materials. This includes curriculum documents, educational materials, curriculum implementation guidelines, teacher's guidelines, traditional and mother language textbooks, and other reference materials published by the center.
As the education sector embraces collaboration with private entities, this initiative marks a positive step towards enhancing the accessibility and quality of educational materials for the upcoming academic session.
