In a bid to address the pressing issue of mental health in today's fast-paced and demanding world, Padmashree College's Resilience Tribe group organized a transformative event on July 28, 2023. The event, hosted by the BIT Faculty of Padmashree College, brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds to delve into the critical subject of mental well-being.
The workshop was facilitated by: Shrijana Subedi, a seasoned professional with an M.A. in Psychology, and Prajal Deoju, who holds a BSW degree with a major in Psychology. They ensured that the event was not only insightful but also offered practical tools for managing mental health and fostering a supportive environment.
Mental health, encompassing emotional, psychological, and social well-being, profoundly influences our thoughts, feelings, actions, and decision-making processes. With the modern world's increasing demands and challenges, maintaining good mental health has become an imperative for overall well-being and effective stress management.
Participants were provided with invaluable insights into understanding and addressing mental health concerns. The workshop not only equipped them with practical strategies for managing their own mental well-being but also empowered them to extend support to others.
One of the workshop's standout features was the creation of a safe and open space for discussion. This enabled participants to share their thoughts, experiences, and concerns related to mental health without judgment. By fostering open conversations, the event not only reduced the stigma surrounding mental health but also encouraged attendees to prioritize their own well-being.
The Resilience Tribe's mental health workshop stands as a testament to Padmashree College's commitment to addressing real-world issues and contributing to the holistic development of its students.
