Over 32,000 Applications Flood in for Teacher Service Commission Positions

The Teachers Service Commission has witnessed an immense response with a staggering 32,154 applications for 436 vacant positions in the secondary level third category. The commission, having made amendments on Poush 08, has opened the doors for a competitive examination.

The application process, has seen a remarkable surge, with more than 500 applications being submitted per hour as of now. The commission anticipates a further increase in competition as the regular application window closes today (January 21), and a two-fold increase in application fees is applied until January 29.

Remarkably, the commission claims that the number of applications is exceeding 73 times the available vacancies, showcasing the high demand and competition for these positions.

In addition to the original announcement, the Teachers Service Commission has expanded opportunities in Gandaki Province by adding six positions across various subjects. These include one position each for Nepali, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Office Administration and Accounting. Furthermore, the commission has made adjustments to the distribution of positions, ensuring equitable opportunities for candidates across provinces and subjects.

Breaking down the vacancies as per the commission's advertisement, there are 67 positions for Nepali, 79 for English, 85 for Mathematics, 124 for Science, 53 for Social Studies, 7 for Economics, 15 for Office Administration and Accounting, 3 for Sanskrit Grammar, and 3 for Computer Science, summing up to a total of 436 vacant positions.

The commission has announced that the general examination for the advertised positions is scheduled for the 3rd of Chaitra, commencing at 1:00 PM. This overwhelming response underscores the significance of these opportunities in the education sector and the competitiveness among aspiring candidates.
