Nine students from Far Western University were honored with gold medals during the fourth convocation ceremony held at the central office of the university in Mahendranagar. The prestigious event saw the presence of the university chancellor and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', who bestowed the awards upon the deserving recipients.

Out of the 376 graduating students, nine were conferred with gold medals, symbolizing their outstanding academic achievements. Additionally, one student received the Chancellor's Medal, while another was honored with the Vice Chancellor's Medal. The ceremony was a moment of pride for the university as it recognized the hard work and dedication of its graduates.

Hemanth Bhatt, a student from the central campus, was awarded the Chancellor's Medal, while Navin Prasad Joshi received the Vice Chancellor's Medal in the Engineering Division. Among the recipients of the gold medals were Nirakumari Joshi, Ganesh Datta Sharma, Harish Prasad Awasthi, Abhishek Negi, Sunil Thapa, and others from various divisions of the university.

During his address at the convocation ceremony, Chancellor and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal stressed the importance of practical and applicable education, emphasizing that universities play a crucial role in producing responsible citizens capable of contributing to the nation's development.

The convocation ceremony witnessed the participation of a total of 376 students, representing various academic disciplines. The Chancellor highlighted the need for universities to produce graduates with strong character and a sense of responsibility towards the nation and its people.

Established in 2011, Far Western University has been expanding its educational programs and currently serves over 23,000 students across 16 campuses affiliated with its central and regional campuses. The university has been instrumental in providing access to higher education and contributing to various fields, including humanities, management, education, science, engineering, agriculture, law, and health sciences.

The convocation ceremony not only celebrated academic excellence but also reiterated the university's commitment to nurturing competent professionals who can contribute to the nation's progress and development.
