The National Examination Board has announced its decision to conduct the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) from Chaitra 15, 2080 to Chaitra 27, 2080. The resolution to schedule the SEE exams post-Holi was reached during the board meeting held on Magh 7, 2080. Dr. Mahashram Sharma, the chairman of the board, conveyed this information, attributing the delay in the exam schedule to the Holi festival.
The board has reported that a total of 489,444 individuals have successfully filled out registration forms for the exams scheduled for the year 2080. Of these, 246,440 are male, and 243,440 are female examinees.

Among these, Koshi Pradesh has 39,675 male and 40,484 female registrants, Madhes Pradesh has 41,416 male and 40,797 female registrants, Bagmati has 53,036 male and 50,420 female registrants, Gandaki Pradesh has 21,636 male and 20,853 female registrants, Lumbini Pradesh has 45,221 male and 45,851 female registrants, Karnali Pradesh has 16,200 male and 16,318 female registrants, and Sudur Paschim has 28,809 male and 28,716 female registrants.
In the current academic year, the examination will adhere to the updated curriculum. Students will be assessed using a letter-grading system. Those scoring below 35% will receive a non-graded designation, indicated as NG on their grade sheet. Individuals failing in a maximum of two subjects are eligible to reattempt the grade improvement exam.
