NCA College of Management and ACCA collaborated to provide Certificate in International Financial Reporting Standard (Cert-IFR) training to accountancy teachers of 52 different colleges from Gandaki Province's six districts: Myagdi, Parbat, Baglung, Syangja, Kaski, and Tanahu. The training program was held in light of the recently revised curriculum in grades Xi and XII and NAS and NFRS study materials at Pokhara Grande Hotel in Pokhara.
In the program's opening session, Rabin Katwal, the head of ACCA Nepal, welcomed the distinguished guests and participants and explained the program's goal and importance. On behalf of the organizers, Mr. Katwal and Suresh Pandit, the chairperson of NCA College of Management, presented the gesture of affection to the attendees.
The chairperson of the National Examination Board (NEB), Prof. Dr. Chandramani Paudel, the former vice-chancellor of Mid-western University, Prof. Dr.Upendra Kumar Koirala, the Chief District Officer of Kaski, Mr.Thaneshwor Gautam, the Dean of Management Studies of Pokhara University, Prof. Dr. Dayaraj Dhakal, the Campus Chief of Prithivi Narayan Campus, Prof. Dr. Saroj Koirala were among the distinguished guests. The program was also attended by the Kaski District chairperson of HISSAN, PABSON, NPABSON, NTA, NNTA, and the chief of NEB Gandaki province.
During the opening session, Prof. Dr. Chandramani Paudel, the chairperson of the NEB, noted that the training was quite beneficial since the curriculum had recently changed. He also urged the participants to share their newfound information with their coworkers to make the training more productive and result-oriented. Prof.Dr.Upendra Koirala, the former vice-chancellor of Mid-western University, stated that ACCA is the most competitive course in Chartered Accountancy in the modern world, which is why it is gaining favor in the corporate and business arena. He also urged that everyone involved be aware of the training. Similarly, the Dean of Management Studies of Pokhara University, Prof. Dr. Daya Raj Dhakal, thanked the organizers for organizing such a unique and valuable program and opined to utilize the acquired skill and knowledge to the fullest. Similarly, the CDO of Kaski District, Mr. Thaneshwor Gautam, spoke on the importance of IFRS in detail and wished for the grand success of the program.
Mr. Jagdish Battarai (MSc, FCCA, CA, CPFA) and Mr. Karna Thapa (ACCA, MBA, Cert-IPSAS) led the training session. Mr. Suresh Pandit, Chairperson of NCA College of Management, gave a detailed introduction to ACCA. In the end, NEB Chairperson Prof. Dr. Chandramani Paudel and an advisor from the Pokhara Metropolitan Education Department jointly awarded certificates to the participants. Mr. Narayan Acharya, the chief of NCA College of Management's education department, led the program.
