Medical Education Commission should work independently

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the Medical Education Commission should work autonomously as per the need of the nation.

Speaking at a meeting of the Commission held at the PM's Baluwatar residence today, Prime Minister Oli, who is also the Chair of the Commission, said that the MEC should not work under the pressure or influence of any side.

On the occasion, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel emphasized on the need to determine the tuition fee as per the set standard. He also said that the Commission has the power to resolve all the problems facing medical education sector.

Executive Vice-chair of the Commission Dr Shreekrishna Giri said the Commission will act in an accelerated manner to reform the medical education sector.
