Lumbini Buddhist University has embarked on the construction of an academic and administrative building in Devdaha, Rupandehi. The university's comprehensive plan envisions the development of its infrastructure across a vast area spanning approximately one hundred bighas in Devdaha.
Commencing with the first phase, construction has commenced on a two-story academic and administrative edifice, signaling the university's commitment to expansion and innovation in higher education. The Acting Vice-Chancellor and Registrar of the university, Dr. Tilakram Acharya, affirmed that the ongoing construction resonates harmoniously with the university's vision.
The auspicious foundation stone-laying ceremony was graced by distinguished personalities, including Member of the House of Representatives and former minister Chabilal Vishwakarma, Bhante Dhammapia, President of the International Buddhist Confederation, and Bhiksu Sobhan, President of the All Nepal Bhikshu Mahasangha.
Currently, Lumbini Buddhist University conducts educational programs within the Faculty of Development Studies and Applied Science in Devdaha. As part of its strategic trajectory, the university intends to continue enhancing its infrastructure as per the master plan. Notably, the graduate-level development entrepreneurship program, slated to commence this academic session under the Dean's office, will mark a pioneering milestone for students seeking holistic education in Devdaha. This initiative propels students towards an academic journey spanning undergraduate to postgraduate levels, thus reinforcing Devdaha's stature as an educational hub.
