Kathmandu University (KU) is set to honor three individuals in celebration of its 32nd Foundation Day. Dr. Spokesperson Ekku Maya Pun has announced that the honorees for today's foundation day ceremony will include Narendra Bahadur Rana, the founder of the Department of Medicine at KU, a German art enthusiast and the founding head of the music department at Kathmandu University's School of Arts, Professor Gert-Mathias Wegner, and former speaker Daman Nath Dhungana.
During the ceremony, Dr. Nhuche Ratna Tuladhar's book will also be released.
In the upcoming 29th convocation ceremony of KU scheduled for the 27th of Mangsir, a total of 1838 students will be graduating in the first phase. This includes 113 foreign students from countries such as India, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives, as informed by Spokesperson Pun.
The graduating students comprise 18 individuals at the PhD, DM, and MCH levels, 38 at the MPhil level, 314 at the master's level, 52 at the PGD level, and 1416 at the graduate level. They represent various disciplines, with 777 from medical science, 448 from management, 225 from education, 209 from the humanities, 101 from the science group, 39 from engineering, and 39 from law.
The university has provided details about specific programs, stating that one person will be initiated into the Master of Technology in Artificial Intelligence under the School of Engineering, eight individuals will be initiated into the Master of Science in Midwifery Nursing under the School of Medical Science, and nine individuals will be initiated into the Master in Higher Education under the School of Education.
