The Higher Institutions and Secondary Schools' Association Nepal (HISSAN) has agreed to provide quarantine facilities at various educational institutions across the country.

Following an emergency meeting on Thursday, HISSAN Secretary Ramhari Silwal mentioned that HISSAN would provide spaces with capacity of accommodating 5,000 people at its educational institutions across the country for quarantine zones in coordination with government.

Classrooms and halls of educational institutions under the HISSAN would be used as quarantine zones, he said. It has also urged its district work committees to create awareness of the virus in coordination with government bodies and other institutions.

Over the virus fear, all educational institutions across the country have been shut and examinations cancelled until April 12 acting on the government's direction in this regard.
