Government of Nepal has extended the term of the Purbanchal University Acting Vice-Chancellor Shishir Rijal until the case against former Vice Chancellor (VC) Maheshworman Shrestha was finalized by the court.
VC Shrestha and other university officials were sacked on corruption case a few months ago. However, confusion surrounded on who should be the VC after the court cleared Shrestha on March 16.
After acquitted by the court in a graft case Prof. Maheshwar Man Shrestha tried to resume office, but students prevented him .
