Suprabhat Bhandari, founder president of Guardians Association of Nepal (GAN), stepped down on Friday after serving for 19 years as the head of umbrella organizations of the guardians.
He said that, "he has served for long and now wants to take rest".
Organizing
a press meet here in Kathmandu, Bhandari said, "I worked for the
organization for 19 years, three months and four days, which is quite a
long time in an individual's life, but a short period for the
development of a country.
I would be continuously supporting the organization and education sector as a guardian though, " he added.
GAN is all set to hold its national convention in two months.
