Far-Western University has decided to establish five more campuses. According to the registrar of the university, Yagyaraj Pathak, this will include Jhalari's Krishna Baijanath Multiple Campus, Baitadi's Purachaudi Multiple Campus, Dadeldhura's Bhim Datta Multiple Campus, Bajhang's Deep Multiple Campus and Bajhang's Sunkuda Multiple Campus.
"The government will conduct the university programs after approving the posts of the said campus", he said, "Even though it was said that the educational program will be started after adjustment in the year 2075, it has been delayed due to the lack of approval of the posts."
The campus had been converted into an indigenous campus. Currently, the university is conducting teaching in eight faculties. The government has also decided to operate Dadeldhura Hospital as a branch of Far-Western University.
Amma Raj Joshi, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, has revealed intentions to initiate programs in horticulture and forestry in the next academic session. He explained that these programs will be offered under the faculty of agriculture and that the university has reached agreements with the Ministries of Health, Education, and Science and Technology to facilitate this. Furthermore, he mentioned that the postgraduate process in horticulture and engineering has already commenced thanks to a tripartite agreement involving the university.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university recently confirmed that the institution is presently operating eight faculties, namely humanities and social sciences, management, education, science and technology, engineering, agriculture, law, and health sciences. The university was established in 2067 and started expanding its educational programs in 2071. The Vice-Chancellor also disclosed that the university has a total of 23,399 students who are enrolled in programs offered across 16 campuses, both centrally and locally managed.
