Dhawalagiri Multiple Campus in Baglung, Nepal, has launched its first-ever technical program, offering a Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology Education (BICTE). This marks a significant step for the campus, which is already recognized as a top-performing constituent campus of Tribhuvan University, particularly in the field of management.
Program coordinator Shiva Paudel stated that the introduction of the BICTE program is a response to the growing demand for tech-savvy educators and professionals. The program aims to equip students with skills in both teaching and technology, preparing them to be "21st-century teachers."
He believes that graduates will be well-prepared to use innovative technology for data analysis and develop expertise in essential digital security and network management.
The BICTE program is the first of its kind in the Dhaulagiri region, serving four districts. Paudel highlighted that this program will not only prepare students for employment in government and non-governmental organizations but will also empower them to become self-employed.
The campus's decision to offer this technical course reflects its commitment to meeting the evolving needs of both students and the job market.
