CTEVT constructing building to establish technical education centre

The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) has started building construction works to teach different technical subjects in Certificate Level and Bachelor Level in different districts.

The CTEVT has started construction works of a building of the Tikapur Polytechnic Institute.

According to Director of the CTEVT Bishnu Koirala, construction works of the building has begun on 25 bighas of land to start studies in Bachelor Level in agriculture, food technology and livestock farming. The construction works of the building has been started at a cost of Rs. 500 million and has a target to complete the building within four years.

Similarly, construction works of a building of Korea-Nepal Institute of Technology in Butwal, which was started on the financial support of Government of South Korea, is going to be completed very soon.

Koirala further said the construction works of the building was started with the financial support of Rs. 450 million by the government of South Korea on 10 bighas of land where three years diploma in mechanical, electrical, electronics and automobile will be taught. Each subject will have 48 students.

Likewise, construction works of a building of the Nepal-Bharat Polytechnic Institute on the joint investment of the Government of Nepal and India are to be started with the investment of around Rs. 650 million on 26 bighas of land. Three years diploma in engineering in auto mechanicals, mechanicals, electronic and electrics courses will be run in the institute.

The CTEVT has also started construction works of Gaur Nursing Institute on the investment of Rs. 150 million on 25 katthas of land in Gaur to teach 40 nursing students every year.

Similarly, construction of Santa Alpamai Ramnarayan Nursing College in Malangawa is in offing and construction of a building of BP Polytechnic Institute, Dhanusha is underway.

Examination Controller of the CTEVT Ramesh Bakhati said they have been searching land for Polytechnic Institute in Dhading, Palpa Polytechnic Institute, Ratna Kumar Bantawa Polytechnic Institute, Ilam, Shankarapur Polytechnic Institute, Kathmandu, Chitwan Polytechnic Institute, Baitadi Polytechnic Institute, Rolpa Polytechnic Institute and GP Polytechnic Institute is underway.
