The University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof. Dr. Devraj Adhikari has made a strong appeal to all community campuses in the country to join the Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) process and enhance their academic quality and standards.

He made this call on Tuesday at the QAA certification ceremony of Koteshwor Multiple Campus, a community college affiliated to Tribhuvan University (TU). The campus received the QAA certification after meeting the QAA criteria and undergoing a rigorous assessment by UGC.

Prof. Dr. Adhikari said that QAA certification is not a one-time event, but a continuous cycle of improvement and monitoring. He said that QAA is essential for ensuring the quality of higher education in Nepal and enhancing the reputation of community colleges.

He advised the campus and students to maintain the quality accordingly and not to deviate from academic excellence. He also warned that UGC will conduct regular audits and reviews of QAA certified campuses and take necessary actions if they fail to comply with the QAA standards.

He said that UGC is committed to support and facilitate all community campuses in joining the QAA process and providing them with necessary resources and guidance. He urged all community campuses to take advantage of this opportunity and improve their quality.
