The International Chemical Scientific Conference in Sauraha has started on Thursday evening.
The conference was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), Jibaraj Raj Pokhrel. In the conference, national and international scientists’ presented reports on the findings, investigation and achievements in their respective country, said Manoj Bista, a member of the organization.
Five people who have provided contributions in the field of politics, the teaching profession, social service and tourism were honoured in Chitwan on the occasion of the inauguration of the conference. Khambsing Kunwar, Maheshwarlal Shrestha, Anand Darai, Prof. Dr. Ganesh Prasad Kharel and Late Mallu Chaudhary.
Chairman of the organization, Amar Prasad Yadav, informed that the purpose of organizing the conference was to collect research, findings, achievement and also to exchange knowledge at the international level and in Nepal.
The conference started in the joint venture of Nepal Chemical Society and Birendra Multiple Campus, Bharatpur. In the conference, 100 people from 20 countries and 100 scientists of the country have participated. They will present 170 work papers and posters.
In the conference, State Minister Dorje Lama and the head of Federation of the Asian Society, David Incler were the chief guests. The chairmanship of the conference was led by the chairman of the organization, Amar Yadav.
The organizer informed that work paper will be presented on the second day of the convention, this morning. The conference titled 'Chemical For Sustainable Development' will run till Saturday.
