In recognition of the significant impact extracurricular activities have on student development, CCA proudly hosted the highly anticipated Intercollege Futsal Tournament. This thrilling event, held on Friday, July 14th, 2023, provided a day filled with sportsmanship, teamwork, and friendly competition, offering engaging extracurricular opportunities for students.
The prestigious tournament took place at the renowned Royal Futsal, where 19 teams from different colleges competed. Starting at 9:00 AM, the tournament welcomed participants of all futsal experience levels, attracting both seasoned players and those seeking a new challenge. It offered a unique platform for participants to showcase their skills, foster lasting friendships, and engage in spirited matches, creating an immersive and memorable experience for all involved.
Diwas Silwal, the Academic Director of CCA, conveyed the institution's dedication to fostering students' interests. He emphasized the significance of the Intercollege Futsal Tournament in promoting healthy competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship, underscoring its pivotal role in students' comprehensive growth.
Following a complete knockout format, teams were impartially selected through a random draw from a bowl. Each team consisted of seven players, with five actively participating in the game and two designated as substitutes. To ensure fairness, all registered teams were required to be present at the tournament venue by 8 AM, as failure to comply would lead to disqualification. The entry fee for each team was established at Rs. 700, with an individual contribution of Rs. 100 per player.
The tournament presented impressive incentives to motivate participants. The victorious team earned a grand prize of Rs. 25,000, along with medals and a trophy. The runner-up team was granted Rs. 10,000 and medals, while the second runner-up received Rs. 5,000 and medals. The tournament strictly adhered to established futsal rules and regulations.
Nobel International College emerged triumphant in this exhilarating competition, showcasing their exceptional skills and teamwork. Seed Financial Academy secured the position of first runner-up, while the team representing CCA claimed the second runner-up spot.
