British council announced outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards, Nepal

University of Cambridge International Examinations and British Council are delighted to announce the winners of the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards, Nepal. The awards celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of secondary school learners in Nepal in June 2013 and November 2013Cambridge Examination Series.

The awards will be held at Hotel Everest in Nepal at 10:30 am on 17th February 2014. Mr. Guy Harrison, Chargé d'affairesBritish Embassy, Di Palmer, Director of Assessment Cambridge International, Mr. William Bickerdike, Regional Manager South Asia, University of Cambridge International Examinations, Mr Narayan Gopal Malego, Honourable secretary of Education, and Brendan McSharry OBE, Country Director BC Nepal will be attending the ceremony to present the prizes.

Over 38 learners will receive awards for exceptional performance in Cambridge examinations, including 2 learners who achieved the highest marks in the world.

The awards also celebrate the achievements of those learnerswho have been recognised for ‘High Achievement’ based on outstanding performance in subjects which are not yet so widely taken in Nepal and learners who have achieved the total highest cumulative marks across a number of subjects. The winning learners out-performed thousands of candidates worldwide who sat examinations in Cambridge International AS and A Levels. These outstanding results will be recognized by employers and universities around the world as a proof of academic excellence.
