Bagiswori School Celebrates Sixty-Fourth Anniversary with Various Programs

Bagiswori Secondary School just celebrated it's 64th anniversary, along with Bagiswori College's 15th year and the founding year for Bagiswori College of Management. Teachers were honored for their long service along with outstanding students. 

Chief guest of the program, Narayan Man Bijukchhe, president of the Nepal Workers Peasants Party presented long-service awards to teachers: Rajendra Bhandari, Pramila Pradhan, Gyani Chori Shrestha and school assistant Hari Prasad Dahal.

The chief guest and guests of the program distributed medals and prizes to teachers and staff , class 11 annual and class 12 pre-board awards, college pre-board awards, SEE topper medals, plus two topper medals, graduation toppers. Bagiswori souvenirs were also released.

While addressing the ceronomy, he emphasized that there are many conspiries being carried out by the ruling parties to prevent poor people having access to education. "Patriotic people should continue protesting and criticizing the policy mistakes of the government." He continued saying, "Those who follow the instructions of foreigners and work for the interest of foreigners never think of the interests of their country."

Sunil Prajapati, Chief of Bhaktapur Municipality, said that there are 3 colleges under Bagiswori being developed jointly. He also informed that these educational institutions are operating in accordance with the objective of developing themselves as model educational institutions of the country. He called Bagiswori as an example of community college's also providing excellent education and mentioned that they turned every challenge into an opportunity and were able to achieve today's success.

Leader of Bagmati Provincinal Assembly, Surendra Raj Gosai. made it clear that there is an extreme lack of ethics in current political leadership. 

Bagmati State Assembly member, Sujana Sainju, said that at a time when community colleges are being built all over the country, Bagiswori is adding a new dimension by working as a mdoel in education. She informed that the struggle for the establishment of Khwop University will continue. 

Stating that it is necessary to oppose neoliberalism in education, Bagiswori has expressed their belief that along with conducting BBA classes, MBA will also be promoted in the future. 

Chairman of the National Examination Board, Mahashram Sharma, also spoke at the event, mentioning that Bagiswori High School and College are operating as an inclusive school based on the community and praised the sucessful leadership of the local government that has helped Bhaktapur in moving forward as a model in education. 

Chief District Officer of Bhaktapur, Khagendra Prasad Rijal, said that the standard of schools and colleges run by Bhaktapur Minicipality is excellent and said that the joint efforts of the supporting community of Bhaktapur have succeeded in developing Bhaktapur as a center of educational knowledge.

The Principal of the school, Krishna Prasad Dhanchha presented the progress report of the school during the anniversary program, while Dhankumar Sharma, Principal of the college presented the progress report of the college. 

Bagiswori School Management Committee Chairman, Rabindra Jyakhwo, adjorned the meeting while Vice-Principal, Ukesh Suwal thanked everyone.
