Medical Education Commission on Thursday published the results of the Common Entrance Examination of various undergraduate level programs that include Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Technology (BSc.MIT), Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology (BSc.MLT), and Bachelor in Optometry (B. Optometry). The entrance examination was held from 9 to 13 Shrawan, 2078 (24 to 28 July 2021).
Aashik Jha from Viswa Niketan Secondary School secured the first rank scoring 186 out of 200 in MBBS where 4390 students in total passed including 92 foreign nationals. In a program organized in Kathmandu today, Viswa Niketan Secondary School felicitated Aashik Jha for his stellar performance.
Similarly, Anupam Dhakal secured the first rank out of 1800 students including 2 foreign nationals scoring 189 in BDS entrance. Dhakal also topped BAMS entrance scoring 168 besting 122 other candidates.
Likewise, Niraj Bhatta bested 301 candidates to top the entrance examination of Bachelor in Optometry with a total score of 177, Sajan Paudel bested 34 candidates to top BSc MIT with a total score of 146, and Saurav Pokharel scored 163 topping BSc MLT entrance, where 118 candidates in total passed.
Medical Education Commission has asked candidates not satisfied with the result to apply with the predefined format for re-totaling from 8 August 2021 to 12 August 2021.
