Kathmandu: IEC College of Art & Fashion is all set to to organize the 9th edition of Interio Schema IX and Designer's Runway. Interio Schema is the series of Interior Exhibition where conceptual models designed by graduating students of IEC College of Art & Fashion are showcased.
The objective of the interior design exhibition event is to bring awareness and recognition opportunity to novice interior designers from IEC among various businesses sectors for future job recommendations in the interior and designing sector.
The event is being held since 2009 by and for the graduating students of IEC College of Art & Fashion. The exhibition is a part of the University requirement. Although it carries a practical remark, however, that is not the only motive of students to carry out this show - the exhibition will also promote local and upcoming interior designers among the big corporate society to help build their careers and in return improve the scenario of Interior Design in Nepal.
Moreover, influential and reputed media personalities are invited in every sequel of the exhibition to reach out to the larger audience and help people understand the importance and functionality of interior design in our daily lives. As this study field is new in Nepal, IEC College is providing a great platform to boost the younger generation who are creative, innovative and are looking for a prospective career in this lucrative field of interior designing.
Similarly, IEC has been successfully organizing Designers runway where all the graduating students showcase their collections. It is the rational combination of glamour and creativity of the graduating students and is one of the most awaited events of the K-town where not only the designers but also prominent figures of the industry such as makeup artists, hair stylists and renowned Nepali artists and models showcase their talents.
It is primarily a university assignment where the event is managed and showcased by the graduating students but is as grand as any other fashion shows.
