Physics-Maths Olympiad

Society of Mechanical Engineering Students (SOMES), IOE Pulchowk Campus, presents the 4th National Physics-Math Olympiad – 2020 as a pre-event for MechTRIX 2020: 11th National Mechanical Engineering Exhibition. 

The highly regarded Physics-Math Olympiad aims to serve as a platform for the best minds of +2 level to showcase their knowledge, skills and creativity in Physics and Mathematics.

Participants : Students from +2 or equivalent level
Registration fee: : Rs 100
Registration Deadline : 15 Magh, 2076 (29 January,2020)
Event Date : 18 Magh, 2076 (1 February, 2020)
Venue : IOE, Pulchowk Campus, Department of  Mechanical Engineering

Specifications:

Three questions, each from Physics and Mathematics will be asked, and the participants need to solve the paper within 3 hours. Calculator is allowed. Any proven theorem can be used. Conjectures shouldn't be used. Lemmas should be proved stating theorems if necessary. Students won't be disqualified for having high knowledge whatsoever.

1st Runner Up : Cash Prize (Rs. 5,000), Medal, Certificate
2nd Runner Up : Cash Prize (Rs.3,000), Medal, Certificate
Best Grade 11 Student : Cash Prize (Rs.1,000), Certificate
Best Creative Solution : Cash Prize (Rs.1,000), Certificate
