DOCTORATE PROGRAM - Ph.D. at School of Science, Kathmandu University
Duration: Fulltime: minimum 3 years
Part time: minimum 4 years from the day of registration
Maximum duration of the study will be 5 years. Research committee may extend the duration ofthe study for a yearifit could not be completed by 5 years.
Eligibility for Ph.D programs in Environmental Science in Kathmandu University
The candidate must have completed minimum 17 years of formal study in relevant field. A M. Sc. Degree with 50% marks in average or a CGPA of 3 or above in 4 point scale or B standing in Grades.The candidate with 16 years of formal study may also be eligible if he/she posses a minimum requirement through relevant programme of the concerned department.
Admission Procedure
The notification for admission offered by the school under the Department is published in major dailies and isin the website: http:// www.ku.edu.np seeking applicationsfromeligible
candidates any time in a year. Collection of applications is followed by an interview/test.
The interview/test/presentation is aimed at testing individual's aptitude academic status and diligence in the field in which one is seeking admission and is taken by the relevant
department. Temporary registration need to complete a minimum of 15 credits of courses as prescribed by the research committee.
