MBA at CGIM has been exclusively designed to meet the need of individuals who are curious and committed to acquire knowledge through its application on real world issues and create practical solutions to address those issues. This standard curriculum is of maximum 60 credit hours comprising of internship, course work and industrial visits.

MBA program specifically aims to:

  • Prepare professional managers for business and non-business sectors
  • Develop entrepreneurs capable of evaluating risks and taking challenges in the Global business environment.
  • Inculcate knowledge, skill, and attitude in students so that they become pragmatic, result oriented, and socially responsive management professionals.

The program has been designed to be of 66 credit hours overall with components that involve course work, seminars, practicum, experiential learning, and graduate research project. The total duration of the program is Two (2) years. The program is spread over Four Semesters. The maximum duration for the completion of the requirements for the MBA program is three years from the date of registration

The course components comprise of Courses on business foundations, core areas, capstone, and concentration area courses. Students also develop their knowledge and skill through research, seminars, practicum, and experiential learning.

Salient features

Students Intake

The frequency of student intake for the MBA program will be twice a year. Spring intake will begin from the month of January for semester commencing from February – June, while Fall intake will begin from July for the course starting from August – December.

In each intake, CGIM will admit a total of 30 students (25 for regular students, Five (5) for Corporate Sponsored and Foreign students, if any). Corporate and foreign students must secure a minimum of 60 percent in the written entrance test (CGMAT) in order to qualify for this.

Class Timings

The regular class for MBA Morning session starts 6:30 AM till 12:00 Noon and while for the MBA Evening Session starts 4:00 PM till 9:00 PM.

Fee Structure

For Two-year Regular Program, the cost will be Rs. 542, 400. Every student shall have to pay, at the beginning of the semester itself, the entire semester fee, the breakdown of which is as follows:

Any applicant seeking admission into the MBA program must meet the following minimum requirements to become eligible to apply for the MBA program:

  • A minimum of 15 years of formal education (12 years of Schooling plus three years of Graduation).
  • Must have secured a minimum CGPA of 2.5 or 45 percent at Bachelor’s level. The final decision on admission is taken on the basis of performance scores of an applicant in the admission tests to be conducted in this regard.

Students applying for the MBA program must furnish all the details of their personal information and earlier academic records by filling in the Application Blank and the same along with the brochure will be available from the CGIM Reception during the office hours. The application blank can also be downloaded from the CGIM website completed application along with the transcripts and certificates should be submitted to the office as per the timelines to be publicly notified in this regard. At the time of submission, students have to pay Rs. 500
