Pokhara University launched the program of Bachelor of Health Care Management (BHCM) in 2000 AD to fulfill the growing need for qualified health care professionals with health care management /administration degree. This 8 Semesters (4 Years) program prepares students to enter management practice in a health care setting. 

Different health care companies, hospitals, and organizations related to health care management, are in need of qualified and trained candidates with health care management /administration degrees.  

Bachelor of Health Care Management (BHCM) program has the following objectives to achieve its mission:

  1. To produce qualified health care management / administration professionals.
  2. To acquaint students with modern principles, concepts and ways of health care management.
  3. To arouse awareness and interest in students about the importance and fundamental role that health care management plays in strengthening the development of the country and the people.
  4. To prepare students for higher-level studies and research, such as Master's Degree and Ph.D. in this area.

Eligibility

Eligibility for Admission

For Grade 12 Graduates till 2078 BS

Pass Grade 12 examiantion with a minimum CGPA 1.8 and achieve a minimum of D+ grade in every subjects in Grade 11 and 12.

For Grade 12 Graduates from 2079 BS

Pass Grade 12 examiantion with a minimum CGPA 1.8 and achieve a minimum of D grade in every subjects in Grade 11 and 12.

Based on performance on written test, personal interview the final selection will be done. 

Students who have done Diploma in Health Care are also eligible to study this course.
