The Bachelor of Craft and Design program is a four-year undergraduate degree that prioritizes experiential learning, enabling students to learn through hands-on experiences and reflect upon them. By engaging in experiential learning, students can evaluate and analyze their own practices. This approach encourages students to take the initiative and actively participate intellectually, creatively, emotionally, socially, and physically.

The program is offered by the School of Arts and the School of Engineering, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the practical, historical, and philosophical aspects of craft and design. Through innovative teaching methodologies, students are equipped with the necessary competencies to thrive in the national and international job market, receiving a high-quality education.

Throughout the course, students will explore the history of craft and design, as well as current trends and techniques. They will work with a wide range of materials and processes, including metal, wood, jewelry, stone, ceramics, natural fibers, animal products, textiles, and digital fabrication. This exposure allows students to develop a diverse skill set and the ability to experiment with different materials, which can be applied to various craft and design disciplines such as furniture design, fashion design, product design, interior design, and more. Students will also gain practical experience through independent projects and peer learning seminars, enabling them to excel in their craft practice and develop their unique design styles and approaches.

To enhance their knowledge, students will have the opportunity to enroll in elective courses that focus on developing specialized and interdisciplinary skill sets, fostering a deeper understanding of their specific areas of interest.
