ABOUT
In 1939 B.S., Jung Bahadur Rana established Rajarajeshwari Pathshala, which was later converetd to Ranipokhari Pathshala in 1942 B.S. and hence Sanskrit language was introduced in Kathmandu Valley. Since 2004 B.S., apart from Sanskrit, modern subjects have also been taught. In the year 2009 B.S., it became known as 'Rajkiya Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya'. It was renamed as Valmiki Sanskrit College in 2024 BS and Valmiki Vidyapeeth after 2030 BS.
In the year 2043 BS, Nepal Sanskrit University was established as an integral school. The school has 22 ropanis of land and has facilities for hostel, library, etc.
Affiliated with Nepal Sanskrit University, Valmeeki Vidyapeeth is offering Uttar Madhyama, Shastri, Acharya and Yoga Training (six months).
