The Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology (CMLT), as per CTEVT, is a three-year certificate program offered by CTEVT. This is the backbone of medical science, as laboratory medicine is evidence-based. Proficiency in medical lab technology courses can qualify for a Bachelor's in Medical Laboratory Technology in Nepal. The first-year course focuses on basic science and foundational subjects; the second-year course focuses on basic laboratory subjects; and the third year is given to the application of learned skills and knowledge within the comprehensive practical settings of college, as well as 100-bedded hospital laboratory observation practicals for six months. Successful completion of the course by the students will earn them a diploma and also make them eligible for the BMLT and MMLT programs.
