ABOUT
The Himalayan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (HICAST) was founded with the goal of producing qualified human resources capable of catalyzing the overall process of sustainable development, particularly agricultural development and the promotion of agro-based industries and marketing. HICAST is a non-profit academic school that focuses on service.
HICAST is dedicated to providing its graduates with a high-quality education. They have generated over 500 graduates, both bachelor and master's degree holders, and we are pleased to report that they have excelled in their respective fields. Some of them have received full scholarships to study in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Austria, Norway, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, China, and India. HICAST graduates have also joined the government and other various private institutions with great success where they have worked in various districts.
Objectives
The Himalayan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (HICAST) has the following goals in addition to serving humanity and the nation and maintaining Mother Earth in its original state:
- Produce graduates in the fields of agriculture, veterinary science, and food/dairy/meat technology who are both intellectually and practically competent.
- Provide pupils with sufficient opportunity and a fresh perspective in order for them to meet the challenges of the new millennium.
- Strengthen ties with national and international institutions, as well as undertake collaborative and participatory research, workshops, and seminars.
- Develop the college into a center of academic excellence in order to promote long-term economic viability and mutual respect among people of all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
