ABOUT
Ilam Community Agriculture Campus (ICAC), located in Sera, Ilam, is a non-profit academic institution established in 2021 through the efforts of the Ilam municipality in Nepal. ICAC is affiliated with Purbanchal University, which oversees academic and educational activities and grants associate degrees and certificates. At present, ICAC provides a 4-year B.Sc. (Hons.) program in Agriculture.
By pursuing an agriculture degree, students gain an advantage as they can specialize in specific areas of interest while still being able to learn about diverse agricultural disciplines. ICAC also provides intensive English courses during the first two semesters that can improve students' communication skills and proficiency in foreign languages, as well as assist with academic writing and publications. Additionally, the campus has satellite learning units situated in various regions of the Ilam district, such as the Horticulture, Temperate Agriculture, Agri-Entrepreneurship, Plantation Crop, and Livestock learning units. ICAC is dedicated to creating a conducive learning environment where all faculties, staff, and students can learn collaboratively in a respectful atmosphere that fosters open communication and the free exchange of ideas and information.
Given that agriculture is the primary source of livelihood for the majority of people and a crucial component of Nepal's economy, it deserves the necessary attention for its growth and development to meet our set objectives. To bring about the development of agriculture, it is imperative to revolutionize the current agriculture system and practices. This revolution can only be achieved through skilled technical professionals in agriculture who are proactive in transforming the current agriculture technology and practices into a sustainable system that considers economic, social, and environmental aspects. With this in mind, an academic institution with the goal of producing competent technical professionals in agriculture was established in Ilam.

ICAC strives to serve the nation through notable contributions in the field of agriculture and livestock sector through quality agriculture education, conducting problem-oriented research, and producing highly competent agriculture graduates.
