Interaction with Parents/Guardians

HIC maintains regular communication with parents and guardians before and after each terminal examination. The Principal, In-charges, Coordinators, Counselors, and subject teachers meet to discuss students' academic performance in detail.

HIC has embraced a state-of-the-art, student-centered teaching and learning approach. We believe that true learning happens only when students are genuinely motivated and engaged with the subject matter. Therefore, students are actively encouraged to participate both mentally and physically in the learning process. Alongside regular classroom lectures, various interactive methods such as group discussions, case studies, excursions, project work, and presentations are consistently integrated to enhance students' exposure, knowledge, and practical skills.

  • Building and Environment: Herald International College is situated on 16 ropani of land and is fully monitored by CCTV surveillance. The building is earthquake-resistant, offering 95,000 square feet of space with adequate parking facilities.
  • Library: The library houses over 5,000 textbooks, reference books, literature, and science fiction. It also features an online library and provides a peaceful environment for studying.
  • Lab: The college has highly equipped, air-conditioned labs for various subjects, including:

  • Health Care Unit: The health care unit is staffed by a registered nurse, with affiliations to nearby hospitals for emergencies. School buses are equipped with first aid kits, and the college conducts health education, psychology, and nutrition counseling.
  • Transportation: The college ensures well-maintained and clean transportation with trained and trustworthy personnel. Parents are kept informed as needed, and all vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking, first aid kits, and fire extinguishers.
  • Cafeteria: The cafeteria is clean and hygienic, offering a variety of nutritious meals and snacks. Senior students have access to self-service counters, a salad counter, and an in-school bakery. Safe drinking water is also provided.
  • Sports Facilities: The college offers a wide range of sports facilities, including:

  • Seminar Facilities: HIC features a range of modern seminar and presentation spaces, including:
    • A presentation hall for up to 30 people
    • A seminar hall for 50 to 60 people
    • An auditorium with a seating capacity of 320, equipped with modern audiovisual systems and air conditioning.

Extracurricular Activities

  1. Sports: Provision of standard sports facilities such as Basketball, Table Tennis, Badminton, Football, Volleyball, Chess, etc. Finally exhibited through the sports week annually.
  2. Cultural Shows and Values: Organizing the welcome program to new students and farewell program to pass out students annually with varieties of cultural and fun programms and additionally celebrating Dashain, Holi, Guru Purnima and other cultural days.
  3. Community Service and Volunteering: Students participate in various service projects, volunteer work, and community outreach initiatives aimed at making a positive impact on society. This can include activities like tutoring, environmental clean-ups, fundraising events, and charity drives.

Co-Curricular Activities

  1. Clubs and Councils: Academic clubs, such as student council, debate clubs, science clubs, HM servicers.

  6. Real Life Experience: Organizing annual basis food fiesta, idea lab, literature festivals, industrial tours, hotel visit, botanical garden observation to make students explore the real-life experience.

Admission Guidelines

  • Registration: One can register online through the links available on the Facebook page, website or visit the college for inquiry and registration.
  • Quality Exam: The registered students must attend a qualifying test (as per the respective school's requirements) on the date fixed upon registration.
  • Admission: Qualified students are notified for their admission within deadline depositing admission fee.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Several scholarships are provided to the deserving students based on their SEE results and their performance in the HIC entrance exam. Furthermore, additional scholarships are provided based on students’ performance in their Board Exam and terminal exams. In addition, college provides special scholarship to people with different abilities, poverty or special living cases on the recommendation of education section of municipality.

Need-Based Scholarship in All Streams 

The college has allocated 20 seats for need-based scholarships, and 50% of the total scholarships will be awarded under the government scholarship scheme.
