It blends management theory with hands-on training, real-world exposure, and a strong focus on entrepreneurship. With a strategic approach to business and hospitality, the program prepares students to succeed in diverse service industries such as hotels, airlines, resorts, event management, cruise lines, casinos, and more.

Graduates of this program are also well-prepared for further studies abroad, thanks to its internationally relevant curriculum and practical orientation.

Program Objectives

The BHM program aims to equip students with the conceptual knowledge, professional skills, and positive attitudes essential for a successful career in hospitality management. It specifically focuses on:

  • Preparing students to occupy supervisory and managerial roles in hotels and catering services.
  • Building technical and interpersonal skills to handle hospitality operations professionally.
  • Applying management principles to improve the efficiency and profitability of business operations.
  • Promoting quality assurance and service standards across the hospitality industry.
  • Instilling initiative, leadership, and confidence to excel in diverse hospitality roles.
  • Encouraging entrepreneurship by enabling students to start their own ventures such as hotels, cafés, or tourism-related businesses.

Curriculum Overview

The BHM curriculum is structured around five key components, ensuring both academic rigor and real-world relevance:

1. Foundation Courses

Covers essential business communication, statistics, behavioral sciences, and mathematics to strengthen managerial basics.

2. Core Courses

Split into Management Core and Hotel Management Core, these courses build expertise in hospitality operations, service management, finance, marketing, and human resources.

3. Specialization Courses

Students select two electives from available concentration areas to develop focused skills aligned with their interests and career goals.

4. Project Work

In the seventh semester, students undertake a capstone project such as creating a detailed business plan (e.g., for a hotel, resort, bakery, or coffee shop) or preparing a research paper on a topic related to hospitality or tourism. The project includes a presentation evaluated by a panel of faculty and industry experts.

5. Internship

The eighth semester is dedicated to a 24-week industrial internship in reputed three to five-star hotels and resorts. Students rotate through key operational departments like Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, and Accommodation.
