The salaries of the province (Pradesh) and local-level officials will remain the same as in the last two fiscal years. In the budget speech for the upcoming fiscal year, 2081/82 (2024/2025), presented to a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly on Jestha 15, 2081, Finance Minister Barsa Man Pun did not announce an increase in the salary and benefits for government employees, including those working in the province and local levels.
During the fiscal year 2079/80, the Nepalese Government has implemented a significant 15% increase in salaries for government officials, including those serving at the Provincial and Local Levels. This substantial adjustment aims to enhance the financial well-being of public servants across Nepal.
Within the remuneration structure for Provincial and Local Levels, compensation ranges from Rs. 38,150 at the lower end to Rs. 61,370 at the upper end. Individuals occupying various roles in these levels of governance will experience different levels of compensation according to their responsibilities and ranks.
