Khwopa College of Law, An Undertaking of Bhaktapur Municipality announces admissions open for five year BALLB program. This BALLB program os Khwopa College of law is affiliated to Purbanchal University. Application form for admission is now available in the front office of the college. Admission Form Fee Rs. 500/- and University Entrance Fee Rs. 1400/-should be paid for entrance exam.

Eligibility

Students, who have passed 11th and 12th standard with minimum of C in all subjects, are eligible to apply for admission.


Required Testimonials

While applying for entrance examination, students shall submit the copies of following documents:

  1. Character Certificate and Transcript/Mark-sheet of (10+2) or PCL or equivalent
  2. Character Certificate and Grade-sheet/Mark-sheet of SEE or SLC or equivalent
  3. 2 copies of Passport Sized Photograph
  4. Citizenship Certificate

General outline for entrance exam

Entrance exam shall be taken on the basis of subjective and objective test. The language of entrance exam is either English or Nepali. Objective and subjective questions of the entrance exam covers from following contents:

  1. Introduction to Law and Kinds of Law
  2. Importance and role of Law in a Society
  3. Sources of Law
  4. Basic Principles of Civil and Criminal Law
  5. General Introduction to Constitution and Fundamental Rights under the Constitution of Nepal, 2072
  6. Contemporary issues (Citizenship Act and Nepal India Peace Treaty-1950)
  7. Cases for creative writing

Modalities of the Questions, Marks Allocation, and Entrance Exam Time

 

  1. Total Duration: 3 Hours
  2. Total Marks: 100
  3. The marks is distributed as: 
    1. 20 Objective Questions (MCQs): 20*1= 20
    2. Subjective Questions About Knowledge of Law
    3. Long answer question: 1*20= 20
    4. Short answer question: 4*10= 40
    5. Creative Writing (English Language Test)- Approximately 100 words in English: 1*10 = 10
    6. Creative Writing (Nepali Language Test)- Approximately 100 words in Nepali: 1*10 = 10   

An interview round followed by entrance examination is compulsory for the student seeking admission. Only those students who have passed the written exam will be eligible for the interview round.

Based on the entrance exam and terminal exams, various scholarships are available for deserving and needy students.
