Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is a globally recognized largest and fast-growing accountancy body that offers a three-years ACCA qualification. ACCA qualification is recognized in 180 countries across the world and caters to more than 500,000 students worldwide as of 2021. ACCA qualification is not to be mistaken as any academic level degree, although it does qualify as completing a university degree upon completing all 14 subjects under the course.
Eligibility
Along with the academic course work, ACCA also demands three years of professional experience from the students. Students will have until ten years to complete the entire qualification.
Students are required to complete 10+2/ SEE(A-C) (in five separate subjects including mathematics and English), +2 at GCE/ VCE A level( Grades A-E), or Two A-Levels and three GCSEs or equivalent in five subjects, including English and mathematics to qualify to undertake ACCA qualification.
The whole of this international qualification is divided into three modules: Applied Knowledge, Applied Skills, and Strategic Professional with 3, 6, and 4 subjects under them respectively. Upon clearing all these examinations and one online module called Ethics and Professional Skills Module (EPSM), also known as the 14th subject, students are taken into the community of professional accountants by ACCA global body. Each module has to be cleared to be eligible to start the next. Students, however, qualify for the 14th examination as soon as they clear the Applied Knowledge level (Module 1).
ACCA offers four exam sittings in a year, and a student can sit for the examination at any order within each module.
