Rajarshi Janak University, an autonomous, non-profit institution of higher learning located in Janakpur, Nepal, is inviting applications for the position of Vice Chancellor. The university offers graduate and postgraduate education in Science and Technology, Management, Humanities & Social Science, and BA LLB.
Required Qualification for the Post of Vice-Chancellor
The candidate
- Must be a Nepali citizen,
- Must hold a PhD from a recognized university,
- Having worked as a professor,
- Having served at least one year in any of the administrative and educational administration-related positions of the university, such as the head of the university, registrar, dean, assistant dean, head of the department, and
- Not being ineligible for appointment to a public position according to prevailing laws and not having any institutional interest conflicting with the university.

Interested candidates who meet the minimum qualification requirements can submit their applications to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Singha Darbar (Room No. 407) by the deadline of 2080/01/09. The application should be sent to rju_vc@moest.gov.np and info@moest.gov.np.

- The appointment letter of being appointed as a professor and the details and evidence of the year, month and day of service in that position,
- Details and evidence of at least one academic year in any of the administrative and educational administration-related positions of the university, such as principal, registrar, dean, assistant dean, head of department,
- Details and evidence of successfully completed academic research projects,
- Description and copy of research articles published in national or international level peer reviewed journals,
- University concept paper of maximum 3000 words and four-year business plan within 3000 words
- A self-declaration letter stating that s/he is not ineligible for appointment and that s/he is eligible for appointment and that he has no conflict of interest with the university,
- Certificate of Citizenship
