University of Nepal (UoN) has invited applications from qualified and committed candidates for the position of Registrar.
The university's Recommendation Committee invites applications from individuals who meet the criteria outlined in the "Rules Regarding Recommendation for Appointment of Certain Officials and Nomination of Members of Nepal University, 2081."

Position Overview
The Registrar is the senior administrative officer of the university after the vice-chancellor. The Registrar is responsible for leading the academic and research development of the university, for providing leadership in administrative and financial operations as well as in the development, operation and management of facilities of the university. The Registrar reports to the Vice-Chancellor.
Qualification and Experience
- A minimum of Masters' degree from a recognized institution
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in academic administration in the field of higher education and research
- Demonstrated excellence in leadership and managerial skill in the field of academic development
- Demonstrated ability to provide academic, financial and administrative leadership in the university
- Demonstrated ability to manage resources effectively
- Excellent ability and skills of communication with Government of Nepal, provincial government, local government, other universities and higher educational institutions, university students and local community
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse stakeholders
- Possess a high moral character
- At least 35 years of age

- A detailed updated CV
- Degrees/certificates demonstrating the candidate’s educational qualification
- Documents demonstrating the candidate’s experience and achievements in the academic or research fields
- Documents demonstrating the candidate’s managerial skills and competence, leadership role, organizational accomplishment in the field of education or academic development, and documents demonstrating the candidate’s experience and accomplishment in other sectors
- A written and duly signed declaration of not having any disqualification as per Rule 7 (1) of the "Regulations Governing Recommendation for the Appointment of Certain Officials and Nomination of Members of the University of Nepal, 2081"
- A written and duly signed commitment to resign from any position currently held by the candidate in any university, educational institution or other institution if appointed as the Registrar of UoN
- A written outline, not exceeding 2,000 words, for leading the academic and administrative affairs and financial mobilization in the University
- A written outline of the strategy and work plan, not exceeding 3,000 words, that the candidate will develop for instituting high quality academic and research programs, and developing infrastructure and human resources at the University
- A written outline, not exceeding 1,500 words, of how the candidate will proceed to attain the vision and mission of the university
- An outline, not exceeding 1,000 words, of the reforms needed in the field of higher education in Nepal
- Attach one copy each of five of your best articles, books or other intellectual outputs to your application. List all of your outputs on your CV
- Names and contact information of three professional referees
- A written and duly signed statement declaring that all submitted documents are true and authentic.
Selection Process
Only the shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview with the UoN Recommendation Committee. The interview will include a presentation of the candidate's vision and strategic plan for the University of Nepal.
